vista beta 2 can do updates

Vista Beta 2... How can I do the updates?

Hello all
I've just installed Windows Vista Beta 2. I activated also the Updates automatically. I can see in the notification area the icon with one critical update. When I want to install it, it seems install but just after the same update appears again... this update is not installed... and I can not continue.
How can I run the updates?
Thanks for your help
henpat

This is a bug with the definitions for Windows Defender and Windows Update. Hopefully it should be resolved within this period or by the next CTP. I usually just leave or open Windows Update and click the install button for the update and see if it installs. -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

Thanks for your repply
I downloaded the distribuable package of this KB912919 (WindowsVista-KB912919-v1-x86-EN-US). I cannot install because an error message appears: The handle is invalid... What about it???
Thanks in advanced. henpat

Might be a dodgy update, or possibly that you don't have security requirements for it, try logging in as Administrator :o)

I got totally confused at first.. Since ive applied a policy to use my WSUS Server (Windows Server Update Services) to only allow updates which I have approved.. But Vista isnt compaitable with that at the moment.. So yer Andre and Zack cheers for the advice :) -- Deansweb2004|NT - Dean Wronowski Server2003 R2 (Grasshoppers) NNTP Hoster * VistaCentral - www.deansweb2004.com/vista/ *ServerCentral - www.deansweb2004.com/longhorn/ * LiveCentral - www.deansweb2004.co/live/ * ScreenCentral - www.deansweb2004.com/screen/
